Why Ellika exists

It started
with Ella.

I made Ellika because I needed it for Ella. It's a small project that has become part of how I look after her every day. I wanted to share it with other people going through this too.

The story

Meet Ella

My dog, Ella.

Ella is my Belgian Malinois. She has epilepsy, and looking after her means keeping track of seizures, medication and the questions I want to ask our vet.

Before Ellika

I used to keep her seizure notes on my phone. Over time, it became harder to look back through them and find what I needed for a vet visit. I wanted somewhere to keep the dates, durations and medication notes together.

So I built Ellika

The app I use every day.

I built Ellika for Ella, and I use it every day. It helps me keep her records together and bring them to our vet. It doesn't make the seizures easier to watch, but having the notes in one place is one less thing to worry about.

Why it's free

I wanted other people to be able to use it too.

Seizure logging, medication reminders and vet reports are free. The optional paid extras help cover the cost of running Ellika. I know there is already a lot to manage when your dog has epilepsy, and I hope this makes one part of it a little easier.
