Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and the person who builds and runs Ellika (see §17 for contact details). Ellika is an independent project, run by one person. For business and registration details, email support@ellika.app and we will provide them.

By creating an account or using Ellika, you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the service.

We’ve tried to keep this readable. Where something is genuinely important (what Ellika is not for, and what you should not rely on it for) it’s stated plainly rather than buried.

2. What Ellika is

Ellika is a record-keeping tool for tracking a pet’s seizures, medications, doses, appointments and related notes. It is available as a web app at ellika.app and as iOS and Android apps.

That is the whole of it. Ellika stores what you type, does arithmetic on it, and shows it back to you and anyone you share it with.

3. Ellika is for animals, not people

Ellika is designed, built, and intended solely for tracking the health of animals. It has not been designed, tested, validated, or certified for recording a human being’s health, and it is not built to the standards that doing so requires.

If you choose to use Ellika to record information about a person anyway:

Please use a tool built for the purpose instead.

4. Ellika is not veterinary advice

Ellika is a record-keeping tool. Logs, charts and AI-generated summaries are for informational and record-keeping purposes only. They do not constitute veterinary or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your animal’s health.

Ellika is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition. Nothing in the app is veterinary advice, including anything the AI features generate, which only rephrase figures you have already logged.

5. Your account

6. Your data stays yours

You own everything you put into Ellika. We claim no ownership of your records, notes, photos, or videos.

You grant us only the narrow permission needed to actually run the service: storing your content, transmitting it, displaying it back to you, showing it to the people you share it with, and processing it to produce your statistics and reports. That permission exists for no other purpose. We do not use your content for marketing, and we do not use it to train AI models. It ends when you delete the content or your account.

How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Sharing with other people

Ellika lets you bring other people in, and you are responsible for who you choose:

When you enter someone else’s details (a vet’s name, a clinic address, an email address you invite) you confirm you’re entitled to do so.

8. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

9. Limits, and changes to the service

Ellika’s free plan has limits that keep it affordable to run. Today those are 2 GB of file storage per account, 80 MB per individual file, and 50 AI credits per month, which reset at the start of each month rather than carrying over. Ellika Plus raises these to 50 GB of storage and 400 AI credits per month. Current limits are always shown in the app.

Ellika is actively developed by one person. Features will change, and some may be removed. We’ll avoid removing anything you depend on without warning, and we’ll give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.

10. Paid features and billing

Ellika’s record-keeping is free, and paying is always optional. The paid extras are the Ellika Plus subscription (more AI credits and storage) and one-time credit packs. Whatever you buy:

Merchant of record. Purchases are processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), which acts as merchant of record and reseller: your payment contract is with Creem, which handles checkout, applicable VAT, invoices and payment data. Your card details never reach us.

Subscriptions. Ellika Plus is billed monthly or yearly, in EUR, and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep Plus until then. If a price changes, you’ll be told before it applies to you.

Refunds. See the Refund Policy. In short: a 14-day window on any purchase, requested by email, with your statutory rights unaffected.

11. Availability, backups, and keeping your own copies

Ellika is a personal project run by one person, not a company with an on-call team. Please read this section properly:

12. No warranties

Ellika is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the statistics and summaries it produces are free of mistakes.

If you’re a consumer, nothing here removes the rights your national law gives you. Consumer law in the EU and many other places guarantees a baseline that a document like this cannot sign away, and we’re not trying to.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or profits, or for any harm arising from:

What we do not exclude. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. If you’re a consumer, your statutory rights stand regardless of this section.

Where liability cannot be excluded but can be capped, and to the extent the law permits, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid for Ellika in the previous 12 months or €50.

14. Ending things

Sections that by their nature should outlive the agreement (§3, §4, §12, §13, and this sentence) continue to apply after it ends.

15. Changes to these terms

We’ll update these terms as the service changes. For material changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect, and update the “Last updated” date. If you keep using Ellika afterwards, that’s acceptance. If you’d rather not, you can delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia, and its courts have jurisdiction.

If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.

Before anything formal, please just email support@ellika.app. Most things are a misunderstanding and get solved in a message or two.
